EDUCATIONAL TRIP OF B.COM(H) FINANCIAL MARKET TO BSE, RBI & SEBI (Mumbai)
6 day Educational Trip Started on 25/Mar/2019
The BBA & B.COM Department of Invertis University,
Bareilly in co-ordination with BSE Institute Ltd. organized an educational trip
to topmost economic institutions & regulatory bodies of India to enhance
the practical knowledge of students. A group of 34 students of B.COM (H) Financial Market went on an Educational Trip to MUMBAI alongwith Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, BBA & B.COM), Ms. Shweta and Mr. Manmohan Bansal from March 25,
2019 to March 31, 2019. It was first time in the history of Invertis University
as well as in the Rohilkhand Region when students visited BOMBAY STOCK EXCHANGE, RESERVE BANK OF INDIA AND SECURITIES &
EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA (MUMBAI).
Students reached Mumbai
on the morning of March 26, 2019 by train from Delhi and after Check In and having
refreshment they started their journey from SHREE SIDDHI VINAYAK TEMPLE located
at Dadar West. After that, they visited MOUNT MARY CHURCH and had a leisure
time at BANDSTAND PROMENADE WALKWAY located on the coast of Arabian Sea.
On March 27, 2019 the
next destination of the educational trip were SECURITIES & EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA where Prof. Suhas Worlikar
and Mr. Amin Shaikh from BSE Institute Ltd. accompanied students and made them
visit the SEBI premises. The students attended a guest lecture on SEBI &
Indian Securities Market given by Mr.
Yazdi Pir (AGM, SEBI). He also discussed on the different functional areas
of SEBI and provided valuable information about investment and financial
aspects to students and entertained all their queries. After that, students
visited RESERVE BANK OF INDIA MONETARY
MUSEUM where students learned about the ancient history of money since 1900.
On the way back to hotel, students visited MAHALAKSHMI TEMPLE and HAJI ALI
On March 28, 2019 Invertians
started their day from BOMBAY STOCK
EXCHANGE, DALAL STREET, MUMBAI. This was what we call “DREAMS TURNING INTO REALTIES”. It was a grand experience for the
students to see the 29 floors building of Bombay Stock Exchange. Ms. Meenakshi Naidu
from BSE Institute Ltd. greeted students and made them visit BSE premises.
Students visited the surveillance department where they met Mr. Viju Kumar Pillay
(Head, SNOC, Bombay Stock Exchange). He explained about how the trading is
being done at stock market and also provided valuable information on stock
market fluctuations. At BSE, students also attended an interactive Workshop on Introduction to Financial Markets by Prof. Suhas Worlikar (Senior Faculty, BSE Institute Ltd.), who discussed
about the trading procedure at BSE. He gave tips for investment and provided
knowledge about different career opportunities in the world of financial market.
This brainstorming session concluded with resolving of students queries. After
the session, students visited INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION HALL of Bombay Stock
Exchange, where the share trading is done.
After the BSE visit, students
went to THE ASIATIC SOCIETY, STATE CENTRAL LIBRARY, TOWN HALL and enjoyed a
soothing evening at NARIMAN POINT, MARINE DRIVE, BOOT HOUSE & HANGING
On March 29, 2019 Invertians
visited ELEPHANTA CAVES, where they enjoyed the ferry ride on the sea. After
reaching the Island, they took a toy train ride. At Elephanta Caves, the guide provided
historical information about the place. Students also saw the 1000 years old
temple of Lord Shiva. The students also visited the GATEWAY OF INDIA and Hotel
TAJ PALACE and reached to JUHU BEACH where they enjoyed their evening near
pleasant sea waves.
On the final day of the
trip, which was on March 30, 2019 students visited famous R CITY MALL where
they viewed RED CARPET WAX MUSEUM, which contains 38 world famous personality statues
including that of BARAK OBAMA, QUEEN
VICTORIA, DALAI LAMA, STEVE JOBS, BILL GATES, MJ and many more. There students
also visited CLICK ART MUSEUM and enjoyed MANALI IN MUMBAI at freezing cold -8
degree celsius at SNOW KINGDOM.
This untiring and
educational trip ended on March 31, 2019. This trip gave students a deep
insight knowledge about INDIA’S ECONOMIC CITY and also helped them to enhance
their practical knowledge on financial
Our special and deep
gratitude goes to our Honorable Chancellor Sir Dr. Umesh Gautam who gave us
permission to explore the economic and financial world beyond the classroom
teaching. We would also like to thank Prof. YDS Arya (Vice-Chancellor), Dr.
Manish Gupta (Dean Management) and Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, BBA & B.COM)
for showing immense faith on students and helping them to see the city that
never stops. Also, we place on record our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Pulock Bhattacharji

Institute) for arranging such a knowledge seeking visit. At last but the least,

New Delhi), who worked day and night for arranging such a comfortable and
wonderful visit for us.
