With a view to provide world wide exposure to the students, Department of BBA B.COM, organized an International Guest Lecture on Impact of COVID-19 on Lifestyle on 29th May 2020. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Rajesh Kr. Raj (Professor, Department of Yoga and Meditation, Wonkwang Digital University, Iksan, South Korea).

Dr. Raj pointed out that COVID-19 has affected day to day life and is slowing down the global economy. This pandemic has affected thousands of peoples, who are either sick or are being killed due to the spread of this disease. This, being a new viral disease affecting humans for the first time and vaccines are not yet available.

He further added, this virus is spreading exponentially region wise. Countries are banning gatherings of people to the spread and break the exponential curve. Many countries are locking their population and enforcing strict quarantine to control the spread of the havoc of this highly communicable disease. COVID-19 has rapidly affected our day to day life (health, social and economy), businesses, disrupted the world trade and movements. This virus creates significant knock-on effects on the daily life of citizens as well as about the global economy.

Dr. Rajesh also said in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, there’s been a lot of ways to strengthen one’s immune system, and thus build a first line of defense against the deadly virus. There are many natural ingredients know to help boost your immunity. Since ancient times, herbs and spices were well known for their medicinal properties, with over 80 spices grown in different parts of the world, particularly in Asia. India is home to several spices that are used extensively in traditional medicine.

We extend our deep gratitude to Dr. Rajesh Kr. Raj who really made the students aware of the practical implications of COVID-19 on our lifestyles. The lecture proved to be fruitful under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Manish Gupta (Dean Management), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, BBA & B.COM), Ms. Shweta, Mr. Tarun Gupta, Mr. Saurabh Kumar and Ms. Neetu Gupta. Last but not the least special thanks to Dr. Riya Dwivedi (New Delhi) for arranging this International Guest Lecture for the students of Department of BBA and B.Com.
