Training on Mushroom Cultivation at GBPUA&T, Pantnagar | Invertis University

Effective training programs helps to improves skills and knowledge. Faculty of Agriculture has organised 4 day an education tour for students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture (2nd year).

Mushroom Training of B.Sc. (H) Agriculture (2nd Year) students was Organised by Department of Agriculture, Invertis University on 10-13th October 2022 at Govind Ballabh Pant University, Pant Nagar, Uttarakhand,

During this training, the students learned about the cultivation process of Mushroom, mushroom life cycle and pest of mushroom. They learned about nutritional and pharmaceutical value of Mushroom. The students got hands on training on how to grow mushroom at commercial level.

Director of training, Dr. K.P.S. Kushwaha and Dr. Nirmala Bhatt briefed the students about the preparation of spawn, casing and pest management of mushroom. Also, they made the students aware of the harvesting process and marketing of Mushrooms.

The Department of Agriculture, Invertis University is thankful to the Honourable Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam Sir, for providing such a valuable opportunities and support. The Department also thankful to the Vice-Chancellor Prof. YDS Arya Sir, for providing support and guidance to organize this training. The efforts of Dean Agriculture Prof. S. S. Tripathi and Head of the Department Dr. Akshita Banga, are also appreciable to conduct this training successfully. The Department also thankful to Faculty Dr. Soniya Joshi and Dr. Vikas Kumar Yadav Assistant Professor of the Department for accompanied the students during this training program and taking care of their need and inspiration during this event.
