Workshop on Campus to Corporate: Resume Building Strategies Important Skills for Interview Organised by Department of b.com
With a view to guide the students in preparing their resume for upcoming summer internship and placement season, Department of B.Com (Faculty of Management) organized a workshop on ‘Campus to Corporate: Resume Building Strategies & Important Skills for Interview’ on 27th March, 2023 for the students of B.Com (H) and B.Com (2nd Year). The workshop was conducted by Mr. Amritansh Mishra (Head, Department of Professional Communication).
Mr. Amritansh Mishra started the session with the importance of knowing the information to be conveyed in resume by any job aspirant and his or her ability to justify it. He told the students that resume is nothing but 80% information and 20% language. He also told the students that they should develop the ability to explore themselves so that their resume would be more realistic rather than just an exaggerated document.
During the session, he emphasised the need to present the information in a factual manner. He also discussed different types of tools like Grammarly and Paraphrasing and their corresponding benefits in making a resume more presentable. He also told the importance of different types of certifications to be pursued by B.Com (H) and B.Com students with regards to the job requirement like Tally, Microsoft Office etc.
The session was very interactive and productive.
