An event in the name of “THE GREAT ESCAPE” was organized by students of MBA Final year as part of their academic curriculum under the subject Event Management. This event was organized to develop the application part of the subject Event Management. The great achievement of students was that, they were able to get sponsorship from more than 40 companies such as Hero, Patanjali, Motilal Oswal, B.L Agro, Kapish, Big Bazaar, etc to name few. The event was a great success and MBA students learnt a lot during preparation of the event and it helped them a lot in enhancing their knowledge base which will surely help them in enhancing their personality and also rest of the students, faculty and staff members enjoyed a lot during the event.

Management club organized a motivational lecture for first year and all hostel students of the university on the topic “Power of Positive thinking” Power of Mind Management” respectively on October 31st 2017, speaker for the event was Swami Chidrupananda ji Director All India Chinmaya Mission north wing , Noida. Lecture was all about how to develop and maintain positive thinking for life and get the real meaning of success. Students were completely overjoyed by the lecture and learnt a lot from the session. Lecture was full of energy and it created a vibrant atmosphere in the audience.

A workshop was organized by Department of BBA & B.COM for the students of BBA & B.COM(H) final year on 27th October 2017. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Gyanesh Jain, Assistant Professor, IIMS. The workshop was all about implementation of GST through TALLY. With the recent change in the indirect tax regime in India, it became necessary for accounting practitioners to have a hands-on approach towards EDP(Electronic Data Processing) based applications of the new regime. Due to exponentially increasing business transactions, simplifications of accounting entry methods were also required for the students. During the workshop students were taught basics of Tally ERP 9. Students were given exposure to TALLY and basic entries in TALLY. Students were also taught GST applications and concept of GSTIN and HSN numbers. A hand on approach was given for treatment of interstate and local transactions in the GST regime, using TALLY. Students were also given knowledge on practical application for calculation and payment of GST to the government using TALLY. With the aid of this workshop students will be able to tackle cumbersome accounting transactions and calculations on just a click of the mouse. Moreover students will be able to analyze and realize the impact of new tax practices on different SBUs (Strategic Business Units) and act accordingly in future whenever they face different tax regimes.

The workshop aimed to give knowledge about MATLAB and provided the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators.  MATLAB is a high level soft computing tool and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis and numerical computation. It can be used to solve technical computing problems faster than with traditional programming languages. The main objective of the workshop was to expose the research exclusively from academia and industry to the use of MATLAB and its applications in research. The workshop provided hands on experience with MATLAB to solve problems starting from fundamentals and learning up to optimization techniques. The lectures and tutorials were delivered by experts from IITs.

Objectives of workshop: ·        

  • To introduce the basic concepts of MATLAB and explore its importance, difficulties and challenges. ·         
  • To enable the student on how to approach for solving Engineering problems using simulation tools. ·         
  • To accelerate the research, reduces analysis and development time, and deploy advanced applications.
  • To integrate computation, visualization and programming in an easy-to-use environment where problems and solutions are expressed in familiar mathematical notations.

The lecture was on ‘Pre-Planning of content, script’, arranging proper location, contacting concerned individual & organisations. In the lecture they also discussed the technical aspects of Camera, Sound & Lighting, how to involve & interview the main interviewee so that they are comfortable speaking in front of the camera. They also showed their Documentaries & equipment with which they shoot & record. The theme of their project is based on “Feminism”.

With the motive to strengthen relations between Industry & Academic Institutes, Invertis Institute of Pharmacy took an initiative by organizing an Industrial Visit to Khandelwal Labs (KLAB), Rudrapur, where students of B.Pharm third year & final year not only visited the industry but also came to know about the working regimes of various sections of it. The placement opted students of B.Pharm Final year not only faced the group discussion but also bring laurels to the Institute by giving their benchmark performance in the screening session. Eight out of 22 students were shortlisted for personal interview. About Khandelwal Labs., (KLAB), it is one of the oldest Pharmaceutical Industry, established in the year 1945 at Mumbai (then Bombay), Maharashtra. KLab is a pioneer to bring oncology products in India and has a dedicated formulation and API facility focused on the developing countries. KLab also provides contract manufacturing for more than 10 companies. KLab manufactures, markets and out-licenses patented Pharmaceutical Formulations, NDDS, niche API’s and chiral intermediates. KLab has more than 222 patents granted/pending using NDDS, Nanotechnology, Dendrimers and Chiral Chemistry. The visit proved to be successful by the continuous guidance of Dr. R.K. Shukla, Dean Engg. & Sciences and joint efforts of Mr. Shashank Chaturvedi, HOD (Pharmacy), Mr. Ajit Yadav (Departmental Faculty Coordinator), & CRC team headed by Mrs. Seema Barthwal & Mr. Balu Seban.

Plenary lectures were given on topics covering Recent developments in Quality Standards and Drug Delivery systems for Herbal Drugs, Herbal techniques and IPR for Entrepreneurs Development, Phytoconstituents as active constituents for Drug Delivery, Chromatography and Quality control of Herbal Drugs and Botanicals, Fulvic Acid in Health care Products, Clinical research in India and sharing of 51 years of industry experience by Dr. Palta with the students. A one day workshopTitled :  “ Indian Armed Forces : Plethora of opportunities for a glorious career” was organized by Department of  CRC  and Bachpan Education Society .The main objective of the workshop was to educate students on the various hiring process in our defence services sector. The workshop was conducted by Commander (Cdr) Sarath Gopinathan an Indian Naval Academy Commander  stationed Lonavla.    He also told the students and the students of the region can try their luck in the Army, Airforce or Navy He also told the Armed Forces of caste, creed and religion as an area where they  do not have any resistance. Mr. Kinshuk Sinha(HOD –CRC), Ms.Pammi,Ms. Avantika Yadav and advisor Seema Barthwal were present at the workshop.

The students of M.Sc. (Physics) have visited two highly repute research laboratories i.e. Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) and Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) at Ahmedabad in India under the supervision of Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor (Physics) for a week (2nd – 7th January, 2017). Also, they have attended another scientific programme “NCAMP-XXI” which was organized by the members of Indian Society of Atomic & Molecular Physics at PRL during January 03-06, 2017. On January 5th, 2017, the most attractive public lecture was given by Dr. Arnab Rai Choudhary from IISc. Bangalore. He delivered his lecture on “The Mysterious Magnetic Personality of Our Sun”. In this scientific visit, they learned a lot about some recent technologies and their uses in the research of different branches of physics experimentally as well as theoretically. These students were guided there by the senior scientists/physicists from Indian research laboratories and institutes e.g. BARC, IISc, IISER, IIT, IPR, PRL, TIFR and abroad i.e. Canada, Germany, Sweden, USA. This scientific visit was awesome as per research exposure for the M.Sc. (Physics) students of Invertis University.

With the glow of diyas, Invertis University organized Diwali party to celebrate the victory of light over darkness. The whole Abhiruchi club was indulged to make this night memorable. M-factor did all the glorious and astonishing decoration. Rock-on people arranged mandir for pooja. Images club made aesthetic rangoli as it is the symbol of welcoming of goddess. As we knew selfies are in hype therefore Stride club spangled a selfie vahan which made pictures more stunning. Celebration started with pooja by Honorable Chancellor sir & Ms. Sonal Gautam (Chief Executive Chairperson). The whole environment became melodious with the aarti sung by Divyanshi and Amber from Rock-on Club. After this, Dandia Dance performed by students and female faculties made the night full of enthusiasm. This was just the beginning, MUREED BAND filled more spark in night with retro music which compelled all to tab their feet. Few games such as basket zara hatt ke,bubble blow and many more made everyone active from their head to heart. Fun went to the next level with DJ and sparkling crackers. Dignitaries and faculty members enjoyed games, band and dj to the best way and gave their blessings to the students for Diwali. The night ended with best memories.
