Four Year Full Time Degree Programme
Electrical and Electronics Engineering in one of the core branches of engineering studies emerged from Electrical Engineering. Most of the branches like Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Applied Electronics, Electronics and instrumentation, Information Technology have emerged as specialization from Electrical Engineering. However, with wide application of Electronics in controlling and protecting the Electrical equipments and systems, the course has been renamed as Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The major thrust in this course is related to the basic principles and detailed analysis of different types of equipments and systems for generation, transmission, distribution and utilization of Electrical Energy. The programme also covers the study of electronic devices and circuits involved in measurement, instrumentation, control and protection of electrical equipments and conversion systems. Concept of computer and recent applications of computer based systems in design, analysis and efficient operation of power system to maintain quality and security have also been included in the programme.
Eligibility
50% (45% for SC/ST) Marks in 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics along with Chemistry/ Computer Science
