Overview

MBA in Agriculture and Rural management encompass many aspects of the economy: agricultural producers, businesses that provide supplies and services to the producers (including cooperatives), businesses that add value to agricultural products, and those that facilitate the marketing of agricultural products to an ever-growing marketplace. The course in agriculture and rural management has been designed to enable the learners to : Understand dynamics and complexities of the field of agriculture and rural business in the emerging global context; Acquire professional skills in using appropriate management tools and techniques in the context of agribusiness; and strive for excellence, commitment with positive attitude to work with the Rural stake holders towards their economic upliftment. Keeping in mind the managerial challenges faced by this sector, Invertis has designed a two year post graduate program in agriculture and rural management. The programme curriculum has a solid managerial foundation, with focus on agriculture and rural marketplace, and is designed to build and enhance a global perspective amongst the participants. While the first year consists of general management course work, the participants devote their second year terms in developing expertise in the agriculture and rural sector. A distinguishing pedagogical approach at Invertis is the case method of teaching, with an intention to build quality managers with practical orientation through application of knowledge. Post Graduate in Agriculture and Rural Management prepares talented young managers to assume challenge-filled responsibilities in rural cooperatives and development organisations. This is a two-year fully time programme. The curriculum provides a wide spectrum of high quality courses with a greater focus on experiential learning. The curriculum comprises four distinct yet mutually supportive segments - classroom, village field work, development internship and management internship. This graduates are known to carve a distinct reputation in their professional environment for their empathy, brilliance, commitment and integrity. The participants of this programme are highly valued in local, national and international cooperatives, NGOs, development organisations, and funding agencies. All participants will be suitably place in different organisations through our Campus Placement programme.

Eligibility

50% (45% for SC/ST) Marks in Graduation in any discipline.

Procedure

IUCET merit +GD+PI or through CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/other central and state level entrance exams score.
